APA Group Policy for Professional Indemnity Insurance

The APA has a reduced-rate group insurance policy with Holistic Insurance Services (HIS). This policy is available for all APA members (i.e. full, associate and student).

Full members are entitled to be covered as ‘Ayurvedic practitioners’ and associate members as ‘Ayurvedic therapists’.

• The policy covers an APA member working anywhere in the UK or Eire for medical malpractice, professional indemnity, public liability, products liability and legal expenses including Inland Revenue investigation, legal advice and criminal proceeding.
• The policy is on a claims-made basis and includes full retroactive cover for any member who is moving from a claims-made policy with another insurer, as long as the scheme remains with the selected insurer.
• A three years run-off cover is available free for members who are retiring or ceasing practice in order to maintain cover for their previous work performed after they have been with the insurer for a full year.
